A: CASFB was first established in the intermountain region in 1967. CASFB is a private, non-profit organization that was created to help individuals living in poverty.

Q: What is the mission of Community Action Services and Food Bank?

A: CASFB is dedicated to fostering self-reliance in individuals, families and the community. It doesn’t simply hand out food to those in need. Those needing assistance of any kind are required to meet with a counselor to assess the cause of need and allocate appropriate amounts of food and/or other resources.

Community Action Services and Food Bank also offers short- and long-term help through programs focused on specific aspects of an impoverished life.

Q: How can I donate?

A: Money donations can be made by clicking here.

Food donations can be made by bringing items to the Community Action Food Bank located in Provo. In order to receive a donation receipt, donations must be made Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

A: Community Action Services and Food Bank serves families living in Utah, Wasatch and Summit counties. Some programs are designed to help low-income families, while others are available to all residents in our service area.

Q: How can I receive services?

A: Community Action Services and Food Bank is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For food assistance, walk-ins are accepted. All other programs require an appointment.
