Make an impact in your community by volunteering with Community Action Services and Food Bank. We have regular volunteer opportunities at our food pantries and seasonal ones at our community gardens and warming centers.
Volunteers can sign up through our Volunteer Hub
Volunteers must come at their appointed sign-up time. When you arrive, you must check in with the pantry manager and sign in and out of the volunteer timesheet. Documentation of hours can be provided upon request by emailing the Volunteer Coordinator volunter@casfb.org
We accept all volunteers older than 16, and volunteers older than 12 with parent supervision. All volunteers must sign up for a slot in our new Volunteer Hub.
If you cannot attend the slot you signed up for, please notify our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@casfb.org so we can open the opportunity to someone else.
Volunteers in the food bank warehouse and pantry assist guests under the supervision of the food pantry supervisor. Food Pantry and Food bank (Warehouse) volunteers help sort cans, restock the pantry, assemble kits, clean, and other tasks as needed. For safety, you must wear close toe shoes. Work gloves are optional.
Please come to the northeast entrance marked “Donations and Volunteers.” Volunteers must check in with our Pantry Manager.
Court-ordered volunteer must sign up for a slot time to complete hours required by the court in our Volunteer Hub.
Court-ordered volunteers must check in with the pantry manager and sign in and out on the correct sheet. Failure to do this will result in no hours being counted for that day.
To obtain documentation of hours served, volunteers must send a request to the Volunteer Coordinator volunteer@casfb.org or can request in person.
Volunteers are then responsible for confirming the reception of the hours with their appropriate court.
We are operating Utah County Warming centers from Oct 16th to Apr 4th everyday. Volunteers must sign up through our Volunteer Hub. Volunteers must show up at their appointed sign-up time. When you arrive you will check in with the Warming Center Coordinator.
Volunteers will participate in assisting guests of the warming centers under the supervision of trained social workers and staff, who will be the ones to respond to any emergency. Volunteers will not be expected or required to respond to these emergencies. Each night is separated into 3 shifts, 8:30 pm to 1:00 am, 12:30 to 5:00 am, and 4:30 am to 8:30 am.
Mentorship opportunities are through our Circles Program, view opportunities in our Volunteer Hub. Mentorship volunteers are required to commit for more than 4 months.

We have 4 community gardens located in Provo and one in Spanish Fork. Volunteers must sign up through our Volunteer Hub. Volunteers must come at their appointed sign-up time. When you arrive, you will check in with the Community Garden Manager.
Volunteers help weed/clean up the garden, teach a class, or other projects to help the community gardeners. To schedule a group volunteer project please email CommunityGardens@casfb.org
Childcare volunteer opportunities are through our Circles Program. Please email circlesutahvalley@casfb.org to begin the process. Volunteers needed in Provo and Heber Utah.
All childcare volunteers are required to complete a background check. Volunteers must commit to a 4-month commitment. Circle classes are every Tuesday night, volunteers are needed for a 3-hour slot.
Volunteers help support the Circles coach for the kids’ curriculum while their parents are participating in the class session for the Circles program.
