Thank you for your interest in becoming a Partner Agency of the Community Action Food Bank. Our mission is to eliminate hunger by distributing food and grocery products through Community Action food pantries and through a local network of non-profit organizations, while providing education and increasing community awareness on issues of hunger.
Any organization that wants to partner with the Community Action Food Bank must be recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as 501(c)3 not-for-profit, charitable organization. They must offer services directly to the ill, needy, or children (under 18 years), free of charge and with no requirement to attend any kind of service. The food must be distributed as an emergency food box or as a meal or snack prepared on site to be consumed on the premises.
If you feel your organization would like to apply, please call Jim Thomas at 801.373.8200 ext. 216 or email jthomas@CommunityActionUC.org to request an information packet. The application process takes 3-4 weeks and includes a visit to the site where you plan to provide your services.
