Garden Opportunities

Each year, beginning in April, Community Action Services and Food Bank rents small garden plots to families with limited yard space so they are able to grow their own fresh produce alongside their neighbors and other community members. The community garden is located behind the Boulders Apartments at approximately 654 W. 750 S. in Provo.  Click here for more information on renting a plot.  Please read the following service opportunities connected with the community garden:

Garden Clean Up

There is always work to be done to make the Community Garden a better place.  If you have access to a backhoe, a rototiller, other garden equipment, or just enjoy working outdoors, contact us for further information on how you can help individually or with a group. Call Kelly at 801-691-5217 or email Vista@communityactionUC.org.

Garden Mentoring and Teaching Classes

Do you have a green thumb or an experienced hand?  Help mentor first time gardeners or teach a small class.  We are also looking for people to teach classes on cooking with fresh produce.  Again, call Kelly at 801-691-5217 or email Vista@communityactionUC.org.
