Eagle Scout Projects

Community Action Services and Food Bank offers a variety of potential *Eagle Scout projects that can help you achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. One way is collecting items and creating one of the many kits we distribute to the public. Look through our list of kits so that you can find one that fits you! Discuss project ideas with your scout leaders and family.

Please be advised, a regular food drive will no longer fulfill the Eagle Scout project requirement.

Once you have decided on a project, write up a project plan that details the items you need, how you will get them and when and how it will be organized. Also create a project goal (e.g., the number of hygiene kits you plan on assembling). After your project is approved by your Scout Leader and our Volunteer Coordinator, you will need to reach your goal in order for your project to be completed.

Call our volunteer coordinator at 801-691-5247 to set up an appointment to present your project plan and get an approval signature.

Additional Guidelines:

  • Before you receive your completion signature at the end of your project, you must arrange for a group to come into the agency for a tour and/or to volunteer.
  • All communication regarding the project should be between the Volunteer Coordinator and the potential Eagle Scout.
  • Please let us know if you have time restraints for this project.
  • Any use of our logo for fliers or handouts must be approved before printing.

*PLEASE BE ADVISED, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE POTENTIAL EAGLE SCOUT TO CONTACT AND COORDINATE WITH THE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR TO ORGANIZE A PROJECT, NOT A PARENT
