We all very excited to kick off our blog! We strive to produce desired and enlightening content that inspires action. The purpose of the Community Action blog is to:
- inspire critical thinking about the root causes of poverty and the impact it has on our community
- expand understanding of the realities for those in poverty
- educate the public on local issues, needs, and opportunities for change
It provides a space for civilized discussion about poverty that goes beyond surface-level feel good solutions. We hope to increase compassion, understanding, and proactive involvement. Above all, we hope to create a sense of unity in our community through humanizing (personalizing) the impacts of poverty.
